Witness
Keep a tab open.Tell the truth.
A witness tab checks receipts: it recovers the signer from the signature and compares the machine's code and document hashes with the registry. It is never shown a question, an answer or who asked.
Signing in is one signed message. No transaction, no network fee. You will be given a test bond: nothing of yours is at stake yet.
The rules
What a witness works under.
- 1Bond 100,000 $OATHUntil the coin exists every witness is given a test bond. It is cut by the same rules and it is worth nothing.
- 23 are drawn, 2 must agreeThe witnesses for each receipt are drawn from a public seed. Nobody sees another's verdict before the round closes.
- 3One receipt in 20 is plantedA planted forgery looks exactly like a real receipt until it is checked. This sandbox plants one in 4, so a short test meets some.
- 4Sign a forgery, lose the stakeThe stake is cut by 10%, then 50%, then 100%. Half goes to the witnesses of that round who refused it, half is burned. The witness's own signature is the evidence.
- 5Paid by correct checksEach hour's pool is divided by correct checks. There is no fixed rate, and none is promised.
- 67 days to leaveTaking the stake out has a wait, so a cut cannot be dodged by walking out.
The roll
Who is witnessing.
Rank comes from correct checks in a row, and one signed forgery sends a witness back to the first. It changes nothing about pay or about the draw.
